Information you give us

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, service and message. Preferred dates and area are optional. We use these details to answer your enquiry and discuss the care you request. Please do not include payment details or sensitive personal information.

When arranging a booking, we may also need pet care instructions, vaccination evidence, emergency contact details and veterinary information relevant to the stay.

Why we use it

We use enquiry and booking information to take steps towards providing the service you request and to manage confirmed bookings. Necessary business administration may rely on our legitimate interests, and records we must keep by law are processed to meet those obligations. We do not use this enquiry form to sign you up to marketing.

How the website enquiry works

The form sends your message through FormSubmit to our business inbox, which uses Microsoft 365 supplied through GoDaddy. FormSubmit retains copies of submissions for 30 days. The normal website experience shows confirmation on the same page; without JavaScript, submission opens FormSubmit and may include a spam check.

Bookings and other websites

Boarding requests are managed through Revelation Pets. If you follow links to Facebook, Amazon or Etsy, you use those services under their own privacy and cookie information. We do not receive your Amazon or Etsy payment card details through this website.

How long we keep information

Enquiries are held in our business inbox. Booking records are held in the services used to administer your booking. We apply the following retention periods:

• Enquiries that do not become bookings: deleted 12 months after our last contact.
• Customer profiles, care instructions and emergency contacts: reviewed after two years without a booking, with details no longer needed deleted.
• Invoices and payment records: kept for the applicable tax-record period. For sole-trader Self Assessment records, this is normally at least five years after the relevant 31 January tax-return submission deadline. This does not require keeping every pet-care detail for the same period.
• Complaint or incident records: retained for as long as needed to resolve the matter and meet applicable insurance or legal requirements.

Relevant information may be kept longer where needed for an ongoing complaint, incident or legal obligation. We review that need and delete information when it is no longer required. Contact us if you want to ask about a particular record or request its deletion.

Sharing information

Our providers include OpenAI Sites for website hosting, FormSubmit for enquiry delivery, Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy for business email, and Revelation Pets for booking administration. Information needed for agreed care may also be shared with the relevant veterinary practice or emergency contact when necessary.

International processing

Our website, email and booking providers operate internationally, so information may be processed or accessed outside the UK. OpenAI, Microsoft and GoDaddy publish information about their international processing and transfer safeguards in their privacy information.

We have asked FormSubmit and Revelation Pets for written confirmation of the processing locations, data-processing terms and UK transfer safeguards applying to our enquiry and customer booking records. Those details are awaiting confirmation. We will update this notice when the information is available. Your choices and rights

You can contact us to request access to your personal information or ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and to request a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. You can raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and website storage

Our website code does not use analytics or advertising cookies, local storage or embedded social-media trackers. Enquiry information is sent only when you submit the form. Hosting access and external services may use necessary cookies; their own information applies when you visit them.
